A mesmerizing art show featuring four distinguished Valley artists who use light as a transformative medium. This free exhibition will run from March 6th – April 12th, 2025, bringing a luminous and immersive experience to the heart of Peoria’s growing arts district.

Through their unique approaches, these artists will unveil three-dimensional works that harness the power of light to alter perception, create ambiance, and captivate the senses. Visitors will experience an interplay of illuminated sculptures, radiant installations, and intricate designs that redefine the relationship between light and form.
ILLUMINATE invites visitors to experience light in a way that goes beyond illumination. From Larry Ortega’s light-sensitive sculptures to Ceri Jones Tretter’s intricate chandeliers, Kevin Caron’s glowing 3D-printed installations, and Gaylen Stewart’s botanical and floral lightboxes, each piece transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary, evoking wonder and curiosity.

The ILLUMINATE exhibition coincides with the City of Peoria’s revamped Light at Play Festival. The free, multi-day celebration of interactive and illuminated public art is moving from Osuna Park to the heart of Downtown Peoria. Light at Play will take place March 6-8, 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. each evening.
Light at Play has extended the community’s interaction with the arts in Peoria since its launch in 2023. This year's event promises to be even more spectacular with a fresh, revamped format that will showcase the intersection of art, light, and music. The exhibit features large-scale light projections and stunning illuminated artwork!
