What’s The Monastery?
The Monastery is a sanctuary where creativity, community, and personal growth converge.
We’re a new art gallery experience, fostering a welcoming environment for creative exploration, personal reflection, and deeper connection with oneself and others through art. Whether you’re an artist or someone who is simply curious about discovering the power of the arts, we invite you to join a community where creativity is celebrated as a pathway to inspiration and well-being.
Located in Downtown Peoria (8301 W Washington St.), The Monastery AZ is uniquely positioned alongside arts and culture spaces such as Peoria Center for the Arts, Axiom Venue, and the soon-to-be Jefferson House (2026). Since its opening in March 2025, The Monastery AZ has already established itself as a key arts hub, welcoming over 350 individuals in its first three days during the 2025 Light at Play Festival and 150 individuals for its Grand Opening Party.
By providing more accessible and immersive arts experiences, The Monastery AZ plays a pivotal role in revitalizing Downtown Peoria and increasing public engagement in the arts.
